We install trench heating on the edges of a room. Heat rises through metal grilles from just below the ground level. From here, it forms an even layer along the floor, which then rises into the atmosphere. This makes it stand out from traditional radiator heating that keeps warmth localised to one spot. Even heating means you won’t need to use plug-in heaters to compensate for cold spots. This eliminates any added cost to your electricity bill.
Keeps Heat Inside
A common downside of traditional central heating with radiators in each room is that it’s too easy for heat to escape into the walls, and through windows and doors. With many radiators being fitted right underneath your windows this makes it more likely to happen, meaning you are paying for heat that does not stay in the place you need it to.
Thanks to trench heating being parallel with the floor, it will be kept away from escape zones. In larger rooms where it’s easier for heat to escape from, you can fit insulation covers to your grilles, to further protect against heat loss.
Individual Room Heating
With standard central heating options, when you switch it on, all rooms receive the same amount of heat, whether or not you are using them at any given moment. Trench heating puts you in control of which parts of your home are heated and when. With zoned heating control, you only need to use heating where you are using it at that moment. For example, if you are using the living room of an evening, before going to bed, you can switch off your living room trench heater, and switch on the one in your bedroom.
