Low level, High Output Tubular Radiators
Referred to by some heating specialists as Gilled Tube and others as Finned Tube our Gunning Tubular Radiators are so versatile that they are equally suited in domestic and commercial projects.
Manufactured in our factory by our special purpose machines which wind up the steel strip onto a medium or heavy weight steel tube in a continuous spiral.
The finn has a semi-flat profile with regular 6mm crimped contact area resulting in a perfect mechanical bond all along the tube.
Additionally the finn is welded to the tube at each end which means the heat transfer properties will not deteriorate or loosen over time even in extreme conditions.
The tube has an air vent at one end of the tube for bleeding the air.
Connected to the hot water boiler system the unique style of the radiator does a job that no other radiator can match.
They are compact, low level heating units combining high output with a modern "Hi-Tech" appearance. They are only 200mm high when floor mounted and 100mm in diameter. Wall mounted radiators can be set lower to the ground and are 140mm from the wall.
Come in five standard lengths of 500mm, 1000mm, 1500mm, 2000mm and 2500mm. (This is the tube length with the valves connection centres inset 25mm from each end of the tube).
Each radiator comes with a set of either floor or wall mounts. Manufactured from 50mm medium steel tube with 25mm high steel finns (100mm OD) they are very robust and give a good output.
Tubular Radiators are a perfect answer to those ugly flat panel wall radiators which take up a significant amount of wall space. Ideal for use in extensions/conservatories or anywhere wall space is at its premium our Tubular Radiators offer a discreet, stylish and highly efficient heating system.
Our Tubular Radiators can also used as under bench heating in sports facilities, schools and churches under the pews and are very popular with architects looking for a solution where space is a problem.

Common Questions
How does a tubular radiator differ from a panel radiator? Panel radiators are flat, wall-mounted and typically 400-600mm high. Our tubular radiators are cylindrical, only 100mm in diameter and 200mm high, and can be floor or wall mounted - making them suitable for locations where panels won't fit or aren't appropriate.
Can they be used in a conservatory? Yes - they are one of the two products we most commonly supply for conservatory heating. See our conservatory heating page for guidance on whether a trench heater or tubular radiator is the right choice for your project.
Can I get a custom length? We supply five standard lengths from 500mm to 2,500mm. For non-standard lengths, call us to discuss what's possible.
What finish options are available? Black, white and antique copper as standard. Contact us for other colour options.
Are they compatible with heat pump systems? Yes. Our tubular radiators are LTHW compatible and can be used with air source and ground source heat pump systems. Output will vary with flow temperature - call us with your system's design flow temperature and we'll confirm suitability.
